I painted this image as a way to learn the original artist's use of color and light.
When I first found an image of this painting, I didn't think to record the original artist's name and I haven't seen that image since first seeing it on the cover of the Magnificat magazine several years ago. To me, though, it resembles the work of Frantisek Dvorak (1862-1927).
I was very moved by that painting... it was a joy to paint.
