I complete this painting in 2016 (or so I thought), but the foreground kept bothering me.

I decided it needed more work. Much better now.

The Gambel's Quail are busy these days, trying to find a good nesting place to lay their eggs. I found this little egg a few years ago in the gutter at the side of the street... it's a beautiful little egg.
